Dev Singh
I edit movies, tv, streaming.
I was an Editor Resident at the prestigious Canadian Film Centre's Cineplex Film Program.
I have been fortunate to work with many wonderful directors, show runners, actors, cinematographers, composers, designers and producers and it is a joy to count them amongst my friends and creative collaborators.
I've worked in visual effects on films such as Resident Evil - Apocalypse, Four Brothers, and Assault on Precinct 13. I was one of only 3 editors ever named as one of PLAYBACK Magazine - 10 to Watch.
My main skill is versatility as I’ve worked across all genres and formats from comedy series to action films.. The films and tv where I am a creative collaborator have been to many international festivals, won numerous awards, sat briefly atop the North American Box Office and have been named top new tv shows. As a result of their success, I have been nominated for Canadian Screen Awards, Directors Guild of Canada, Canadian Cinema Editors awards for outstanding editing in comedy, drama and feature film.
Among the notable films and TV I have edited: Resident Evil - Welcome to Raccoon City, Spiral, People of Earth and The Porter (which had 19 Canadian Screen Award Nominations in 2023). The Sony/FOX series ACCUSED executive produced by Howard Gordon (24, HOMELAND).
Most recently completed 40 ACRES, the first feature by director RT Thorne (The Porter) and producer Jennifer Holness and distributed by Magnolia Pictures. It made its World Premiere at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival’s Special Presentations program, and US Premiere at 2025 SXSW. It features a bravura performances by Danielle Deadwyler (Station Eleven, Till) and Michael Greyeyes (Blood Quantum). It’s been featured by Rolling Stone and NPR as one of the most anticipated movies of the 2025 and opens early July in theatres across North America.
And currently editing Netfix Limited Series WAYWARD with show runners Mae Martin (Feel Good) and Ryan Scott (Servant, Fear the Walking Dead) for Sphere Media and Objective Fiction., starring Mae Martin, Sarah Gadon and Toni Collettte.
And next up is Netflix Limited Series SOMETHING VERY BAD IS GOING TO HAPPEN created by Haley Z Boston (Cabinet of Curiosities), produced by Chris Hatcher (Priscilla) and Andrea Sperling (Murder at the End of the World, The Vince Staples Show) and Duffer Brothers’ Upside Down Pictures (Stranger Things) and directed by Weronika Tofiska (Baby Reindeer, co-writer Love Lies Bleeding)
